Of late, Indian airliners have been frequently in the news, and usually for the wrong reasons. While Air India seems to show no improvement in its performance despite absorbing large amounts of government money, even the private airlines are struggling to stay afloat. In this discussion, the problems associated with Indian aviation are analyzed from different perspectives - economics, strategy, operations and human resource, and potential solutions are explored.
